I got my bike a few days ago. The box was pretty banged up (so much so that the FedEx guy noted it on his pad), but everything seemed okay. After three days of attempting to put it together I have concluded a few things. First, my bike did not arrive with all of its parts intact. I had parts missing from one of my rear brake pads, which I didn't realize until I removed the rear wheel and the brake pad fell off with it. Secondly, the parts that did arrive were not in good working order. The front fender was so bent that when I attached it to the bike frame, it was touching the wheel. The bike chain was so twisted that I had to figure out how to remove the derailleur to get it off. Which lead me to our local bike repair shop. I am now paying $80 to get my brand new bike in working order so I can attempt to use it.
Advice for future buyers. The component parts of the bike seem to be great, but the construction was pretty shoddy. If you buy it, and it arrives in good condition, check all of the brakes and screws before you give it a ride. And yes, the shipping really was as bad as the other reviewers said. My box came with holes in it. Basically, if you want this bike, plan on factoring in whatever your local bike shop will charge for giving you a comprehensive tune up.
